Over the past year, along with the successful merger of NKD and KIDO into KDC, making Kinh Do become a leading Food Group in Vietnam, all operations of the Corporation have been improved, especially the implementing and running the most advance information technology system in group.

This not only creates a professional working environment but also helps strengthening internal capabilities, improve competitive advantage, reduce cost, eliminate the geographical barrier. Additionally, this facilitates for coordination between departments and between companies within the Group smooth, throughout.

Applying modern information technology in Kinh Do

In the era of digital technology, the investment for a modern information technology platform and deployment of new IT applications are essential requirements to strengthen the internal capability, standardize business processes, create the professional working environment, and enhance the competitiveness for the company. Recognizing the importance of IT investment, since 2007, beside investment in production and business activities, Board of Directors also paid attention to invest for the modern IT system. The investment was not only for an IT basic platform such as computer systems, office applications: email systems, intranet, Internal Network, etc. but also for an most advanced business management system for the Group.

Breakthroughs and pioneering

The milestone of investment activities is when the company kicks off the implementation project of the SAP ERP system – a comprehensive business management solution. Mr.Nguyen Xuan Luan – Vice President cum Project Director said that from the very first implementation days, together with choosing the right implementer, Kinh Do also need to prepare for a best team to coordinate with the implementer to warranty for a success project.

A project team of Kinh Do is established with nearly 100 members for phase 1 and nearly 200 members for phase 2. Project members are selected among the best professional people; all managers and functional executive and nearly 20 experienced IT professionals with deeply knowledge of ERP has been recruited to join the project working with the consulting partner.
